Justin Timberlake On ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’: Singer Says His Second Album Was ‘Polarizing’

Categories: Uncategorized

justinThis week, Justin Timberlake took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with his third studio album, “The 20/20 Experience.” Selling 968,000 copies, the album has been praised by critics.

While Timberlake’s second studio album earned the singer his first No. 1, “FutureSex/LoveSounds,” didn’t fare as well with the critics. Selling 684,000 copies in its first week, the album received mixed reviews – a fact that Timberlake himself is very aware of.

“When I put it out, everybody was laughing at me – critics, radio programmers and to their credit, I understand why,” Timberlake said in a recent interview with Myspace. “But I wanted to do something different at that time. I wanted to do something that was like, this is like nothing I hear on the radio. That was my effort with that one.”

“I got like terrible reviews on that record, and so to talk about it now… I just think that [Timbaland] and I were onto something different and I just think that anytime you put out something different, it’s polarizing. And polarizing is good, I think, because polarizing starts a conversation,” Timberlake added.

Jim Carrey Calls Fox News ‘ A Media Colostomy Bag’

Categories: Uncategorized

carreyHollywood funnyman Jim Carrey has stepped up his feud with conservative critics by accusing Fox New bosses of “irresponsible buffoonery” in the ongoing dispute over his controversial gun control spoof.

The Mask star hit headlines by releasing a comedy skit about gun regulation in the U.S., portraying figures including late National Rifle Association president Charlton Heston in the clip for FunnyorDie.com.

The film, which warned of the dangers of gun ownership, sparked criticism from conservative commentators, and Carrey has now singled out bosses at Fox News, accusing them of sparking a backlash against the video.

He says in a statement, “In my opinion Fux News is a last resort for kinda-sorta-almost-journalists whose options have been severely limited by their extreme and intolerant views. A media colostomy bag that has begun to burst at the seams and should be emptied before it becomes a public health issue.

“I would take them to task legally if I felt they were worth my time or that anyone with a brain in their head could actually fall for such irresponsible buffoonery. That would gain them far too much attention which is all they really care about.”

Critics Slam Kim Kardashian’s Performance in Tyler Perry’s ‘Temptation’

Categories: Uncategorized

tylerReviews of Tyler Perry’s new movie “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” are not fairing well for pregnant reality star Kim Kardashian.

The mom-to-be was ridiculed for being cast in the film, and is now facing negative comments on multiple sites for not pulling off her role.

The Wrap called her performance as a marriage counselor “nasal and awful,” while Roger Ebert said Kim was not the “worst thing in the film” but was surprised “someone so famous for her curves could deliver her lines so flatly.” Ebert then gave the movie one star.

I don’t blame Kim Kardashain for being in the movie. This wanabee will do anything and anyone for her name to be printed somewhere however, Tyler is the one who should be ripped apart. Why would he hire her in the first place? Does he really believe he is some sort of savour? He put himself out there when Whitney died as if he was some kind of messiah, then he hires Bobby Kristina in an attempt to save her, he believes he can propel OWN and Oprah to even bigger heights and now Kim. Give it up Tyler, you make movies and TV Shows. The only pedestal you should concern yourself with is the one the Camera is attached to.

Former Rolling Stone, Bill Wyman Went To The Police Over Statutory Rape Claims

Categories: Uncategorized

wymanFormer Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman turned himself in to police after reports emerged suggesting he began a sexual relationship with his second wife when she was 14 years old.

The musician began dating Mandy Smith when she was aged just 13 and they wed in 1989, when she was 18 years old, but split two years later. Several years ago, Smith suggested the couple first had sex when she was just 14, two years below the U.K.’s age of consent, and Wyman has now revealed he subsequently turned himself in to police.

He spoke to cops and prosecutors about the claims, but the authorities decided against taking the case any further.

Wyman tells Britain’s Seven magazine, “I went to the police and I went to the public prosecutor and said, ‘Do you want to talk to me? Do you want to meet up with me, or anything like that?’ and I got a message back, ‘No’. I was totally open about it.”

He adds of his relationship with Smith, “It was very emotional and special at the time. It wasn’t how it was reported to be and it was the only time it ever happened in my life. A lot of people understood, but a lot didn’t, and the media certainly didn’t. They treated me like crap…We all have a skeleton in the cupboard, it’s just if you’re (a) taxi driver in Halifax no one ever hears about it. But if you are (a) celebrity everyone does. In my case it was publicised to the world and that wasn’t really fair, I don’t think.”

Wyman went on to marry his third wife, Suzanne, in 1993.

David Faustino Is One Of Netflix’s ‘Bad Samaritans’

Categories: Uncategorized

davidNetflix’s other new original series is the comedy Bad Samaritans, with all five episodes of the show about a dysfunctional group sentenced to community service arriving today. BFTV checked in with David recently to get the scoop on the series and find out if his famous role from Married with Children is still following him around.

“I think it’s a funny show. It’s basically about a group of misfits that get committed to community service, and I’m the community service leader. Really, all I wanted to be was a cop, but I couldn’t meet the requirements to be a cop. I hate my job and they don’t respect me,” said David of his character Dax Wendell. “Each episode is a different community service project. They go from having to work at a kennel to cleaning up an elementary school.”

“It’s the first time I’ve had to grow a mustache for anything,” he quipped, adding that “Besides Robert [LaSardo, who plays the character of Doug], they’re kids, so it’s funny to now be on the other side, where I’m kind of like the grandaddy of the cast – although Andy Dick makes an appearance.”

The actor has come a long way from his breakout role as Bud Bundy on FOX’s Married with Children, which ended almost sixteen years ago, in June of 1997. Bad Samaritans is not his first web series; four years ago he created, wrote and co-starred in the Crackle project Star-ving, another web comedy in which David played a fictionalized, exaggerated version of himself post-TV fame: broke, unemployed, and with his wife having left him for rapper Coolio.

“I’m pretty proud of Star-ving. It was something that my partners and I wrote, produced and directed from the ground up,” he said, “and for the money that Sony gave us, we got a great cast – Gilbert Gottfried, Ed Asner, the whole Married with Children cast, Seth Green.”

David also moved into voice acting, most notably as the character of Mako on Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender prequel series, The Legend of Korra. Season two of that series is scheduled to debut sometime this year (a specific premiere date has yet to be announced).

“I couldn’t believe it when we went to [San Diego] Comic-Con. I had no idea what we were walking into. We were the only cartoon that had one of the giant ballrooms,” said David of working on the hit animated series. “It’s funny being at Comic-Con because you’d have the kids coming up and they’d be like ‘Mako!’, and they’d be with their parents and their parents would be like ‘Bud!'” His other voice roles include Winx Club and Cartoon Network’s Dragons: Riders of Berk, which is based on the DreamWorks film How to Train Your Dragon.

Outside of acting, David has also launched his own independent record label, and is currently working with rapper Patience Price. “He’s just an amazing writer and amazing rapper, and he’s yet undiscovered really. I’m really proud of him and I’m proud of what we’ve done with his career,” explained David, who also has his own rap alter-ego, Lil’ Gweed. He describes his own music as “definitely comedy-based. The music’s funny, but it’s also really dope.”

With so much time having passed and the other projects he’s accomplished since then, does David feel that he’s still thought of as the kid from Married with Children? “I’ll always be known as Bud Bundy on some level and that’s fine with me,” he said. “Once I embraced it, because he was such a lovable character, it allowed me a lot of great things in my life. It opened so many doors for me, because people have such fond memories of growing up with that show. They’ll always remember that character. There were some stigmas I had to shake – growing up as a child star and that whole thing, it’s not the easiest gig in the world – but it’s going well.”

Kate Middleton Reveals How She’s Getting Ready For The Royal Baby

Categories: Uncategorized

kateSix months pregnant and feeling her baby kick (“very much so”), Princess Kate is basking in pre-baby bliss. From her posh pals dishing advice to her reserved spot in London’s most exclusive maternity wing, this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine features new photos and new details of the Pregnant Princess Diaries and how Kate is prepping for her special delivery. From shopping to cravings and choosing baby names: PEOPLE has all the inside scoop on the Royal Baby countdown.

Princess Kate cheerfully models a “Baby on board!” button for the Queen while visiting the London tube (“I’ll make sure I wear this at home,” joked Kate), exchanges loving glances with Will while comforting the bereaved, rhapsodizes about cupcakes in a class full of school kids – those storied second-trimester hormones must be kicking in. As Kate’s plans for baby kick into high gear (she’s shopping for her nursery in Kensington Palace with a move-in date set for early fall), the ever more radiant princess, 31, “feels she’s thriving,” says family friend Julia Samuel. Founder of the charity Child Bereavement UK, Samuel spent time with Kate and Will there on March 19. “It was like they showered starlight on everybody,” she says, “because everybody who met them was left with a glow.”

Busy Schedule: After lying low while battling morning sickness early on, Kate now seems to be everywhere, from going green with the Irish Guards for St. Patrick’s Day to campfire cooking with Scouts. All signs point to her working as long as she can and even taking on new charities – “meaty projects,” a Palace source tells PEOPLE, “that Kate wants to be involved with.”

Carb Crazy!: While her beloved soy lattes are now decaf, Kate has indulged cravings both savory (cheddar crackers) and sweet (lavender biscuits) and even snacked on sugary twists with the Scouts on March 22. In a Grimsby cooking class, she asked about cupcakes but had to settle for a frosted cookie – in the shape of a crown, of course.

Pampering Prince: Can he get any more charming? William, who braced his bride when she caught her shoe at a St. Patrick’s Day outing, “really supports the duchess,” says Samuel. Right down to sympathy cravings: Handed Easter chocolates on March 19, Kate promised to share but joked, “I will make sure William doesn’t eat it all himself!”

Name that Baby: Diana and Elizabeth (Kate’s middle name and that of a certain granny monarch) are favorites of oddsmakers. For a boy, the money is on George, for Will’s paternal great-grandfather. A Palace source insists the couple aren’t boxed in – “There are so many names” – but Irish Guardsman Lee Wheeler, who met Kate on March 17, knows posterity’s pull: “I said, ‘I suppose you have to stick to traditional names.'” Kate changed the subject.

Robert Pattinson Parties In Hollywood, No Sign Of Kristen Stewart

Categories: Uncategorized

robRobert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been inseparable since his return to Los Angeles from 64 days filming in the Australian outback — but that all seems to have changed this weekend.

Dressed inconspicuously in a grey hoodie and jeans, 26-year-old Pattinson snuck into the fav celebrity haunt Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood in the early hours of Saturday morning.

And Twilight costar Stewart — Rpatz’s on-again, off-again girlfriend since 2008 — was nowhere in sight, an eyewitness exclusively tells RadarOnline.com.

“He went straight to the back and commandeered a corner table,” the source says.

“There were a bunch of gorgeous models standing around him, but he looked disinterested in them. He was sitting with another male friend. He almost seemed timid and shy.”

KStew’s non-appearance at the nightspot alongside her British heartthrob comes just 24 hours after we reported that Pattinson wanted “room to breath” from his girlfriend.

“Kristen wants to spend every minute with Robert… She’s even talked about attempting to take summer off to spend every day with him,” a source told us. “He was happy that Kristen made such an effort after he returned to the States; she rallied all their friends together for a big welcome back party and Robert was touched by the gesture.

“But, he’s still very cautious when it comes to fully committing himself to her and she’s being really clingy right now.”

Janet Hubert, Original Aunt Viv, Would Attend ‘Fresh Prince’ Reunion, Wants To Make Peace With Will Smith

Categories: Uncategorized

vivJanet Hubert, the actress who played the original Aunt Vivian on “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” but was replaced after three seasons, says she’s tired of feuding and wants to patch things up with Will Smith.

In the wide-ranging interview with TheGrio.com above, Hubert explains the details surrounding her departure from the series and concedes that after twenty years of bickering, she wants to make peace with Will Smith and rest of the show’s cast.

“I would say to him [Smith], we need to heal this. You’ve done some things, you’ve said some things, that were totally untrue and you know that they were untrue. I’ve said some things that I probably should have never said … I’m tired. Aren’t you tired Will?” Hubert said of the feud. When asked if she would attend a reunion of the show, she replied, “Absolutely.”

Hubert’s statements strike a much different tone than many of her previous comments about Smith and the show. When Smith shared a photo on Facebook of much of the “Fresh Prince” cast — but not Hubert — back together in 2011, she told TMZ, “There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an a**hole like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”

Justin Bieber Dissed By Canadian Paper: ‘A National Embarrassment’

Categories: Uncategorized

bieberJustin’s progressively outrageous antics are starting to bother his homeland! ‘The Globe and Mail’ of Canada has written a scathing column slamming the star. Keep reading to see what they wrote!

Justin Bieber isn’t just annoying his neighbors — now even his native land Canada is turning on him! A harsh column published in The Globe and Mail makes it clear that if Justin doesn’t change his ways soon, his home country is going to disown him.

“Justin Bieber Is A National Embarrassment,” is the headline of Amberly McAteer’s scathing column that ran in the Mar. 26 edition of the Canadian newspaper, The Globe and Mail.

Speaking on behalf of Justin’s native nation, Amberly goes at Justin HARD. It’s the singer’s shirtless trip through a Poland airport that seems to have ticked her off, as she writes, “Poor kid: With all his millions, Justin Bieber still cannot afford a single t-shirt.”

Bieber’s recent displays of shirtless behavior, alleged experimentation with drugs and alcohol, and passionate social media rants add up to paint “a very unflattering picture,” Amberly says. “I’m exhausted,” she adds before dropping the bomb: “This kid — who I admit, I had the highest hopes for — is becoming a national embarrassment.”

Amberly emphasizes the point that just because someone is old enough to be an adult doesn’t mean he is one, and she pleads with Justin to start being more responsible.

But, like a good journalist, Amberly also attempts to defend Justin. Her defense? Justin is still young! “Who among us at that age didn’t want to reject authority, flip the bird to people telling us who to be and what to say,” Amberly asks. It’s a good point and a benefit that Justin rarely ever gets from his critics.

So, is Canada turning on one of its biggest stars?

A poll attached to the online version of the column asks the question, “What are your thoughts on Justin Bieber’s future?” Readers had the opportunity to vote either that Justin “is just a typical 19-year-old boy,” is “still perfect,” or is “headed for disaster.” And my my, the results are shocking. SEVENTY percent of readers voted that Justin is headed for disaster!

The Canucks are mad at you, Justin! You better shape up!
