Well it didn’t take long for the Lawyers to get involved in the Drake – Chris dust up that took place stemming from the fact they both had once tasted the sweet nectar of Rihanna and had to show each other who’s………ego was bigger.
Tony Parker or Eva Longoria’s X husband is the first one to take advantage of the American pastime of suing because…you can.
The San Antonio Spurs guard is suing the W.i.P club in New York City and its operators for $20 million over a scratched retina he says he suffered during the fight involving Chris Brown and members of hip-hop star Drake’s entourage.
The suit was filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan. It says the W.i.P club in SoHo and its operators were negligent in security and supervision, which allowed the fight to take place.
Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard were among eight injured during the fight inside the club last week. Police say members of Drake’s entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown.
There is no doubt that Parker’s suit is just the first of many that are going to be brought forward in this case. Many innocent patrons of the Club were injured in some way and because of the high profile nature of those involved, one would think millions of dollars are going to be spent in either settlements or court decisions.
The question yet to be determined is who was responsible for this Catfight to occur in the first place. Suing the Club is the easy first step however; the Club will not happily accept responsibility and the liability alone. They might not have had an army of security personnel guarding all tables at their establishment but they should not be held solely responsible for the aftermath caused by 2 immature wanabee thugs who think they can get away with not only property damage but injury to others just because they feel one disrespected the other. All information at this time is pointing the finger at Drake. His response to Chris Brown’s so-called peace offering of a bottle of Champagne is what allegedly triggered the bottle throwing bitch slapping melee and if true, Drake – ‘I want to be a tough guy, don’t disrespect me’ - Rapper, is going to have to sell a lot of ‘auto-tuned’ CD’s to pay for his foray into Rap Manhood.
